Bishanopliosaurus was a plesiosaur, a type of marine reptile. It was not a dinosaur, though it coexisted with many dinosaurs. Bishanopliosaurus lived during the Early Jurassic. The first Bishanopliosaurus fossil was discovered in 1980.
